Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shivpuri was established on 26 September 1988 at the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (Telecommunication Division) Campus. Later in September 2003 the Vidyalaya was shifted to the new building near to the ITBP campus.

The Vidyalaya caters not only to the childern of ITBP, but to the civil sector also. The school is located in picturesque terrains near Jhansi Road, about 2 KM away from the Shivpuri Bus Stand and about 6 KM from the Railway Station.
